The Shape of a Thought

Sometimes a thought arrives not as a word, but as a sensation — somewhere at the edge of consciousness, before it has a name. It slips away and returns, changes direction, gathers things it didn't carry a moment ago. One thought pulls another after it: a memory catches on a desire, a desire on an image, an image on a feeling that has no name yet. This is how a whirlpool is born.

We give this movement its own shape, scale, speed. What exists only in the imagination begins to take on something almost material — it grows, shifts, draws us into itself.

The Shape of a Thought is about that moment when the invisible becomes tangible. When a thought seems to step outside the mind and begin a life of its own.
